 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!
    Its my birthday and for the first time it doesn't feel like it.  I guess that is what babies do to ya.  Apparently it's all about them now.  I am getting ready to take Mykel to a party...A PARTY YA'LL,  on MY birthday!  She gets to party it up while I sick back and watch.  Oh well, at least she will have fun.  Maybe next year I will get to do something for me.  I won't hold my breath though.

Maddox at 2 months!

    

  

   Four words.....MADDOX IS A CHUNK!  My goodness this boy is growing fast.  I thought breastfed babies were supposed to be slimmer.  I GUESS NOT!  Maddox had his 2 month check up and everything looked great.  He measured off the charts as expected.  He weighed in at 16 lbs and 8 oz and 24 1/4 inches long.

Milestones:  He can swat and grab his hanging toys.
                           Follow Mama with his eyes wherever she goes.
                           Can tolerate tummy time now...YAY!
                           Coos and smiles on command.

The pumpkin patch

Went to the Flowermound pumpkin patch today and had a blast.  There were so many activities.  IT WAS GREAT!  We found are way through the maze, jumped in 4 different bounce houses, went on a hay ride, Mykel rode several other rides, took too many pictures to post, ate snow cones, slid down the blow-up slide, and picked out a couple of pumpkins.  There was one minor collision with Mykel and Grandma though.  Grandma tripped over Mykel and somehow Mykel is the one who ate dirt.  This resulted in her first fat lip.  Pics below.  ENJOY!

Davyn Kody McCrory

   My bestie Angie had her beautiful baby girl Thursday afternoon.  She was a whole 3 weeks early.  She weighed in at 5 lbs 5 oz and 18.5 inches long and is SO TINY YA'LL!  But....lets be real.  I guess any baby is going to look tiny compared to my 10 pounder.  I am so happy for the McCrory clan.  Congratulations guys!!!

LOST and FOUND.

  During Emily's weekend stay I misplaced my wedding ring.  We spent days retracing my steps and looking in every nook and cranny trying to find that thing.  I felt like I had been sucker punched in the stomach.  That has got to be one of the worst feelings ever.  For days I played out the conversation that I was about to have with Nile explaining what I had done.  I was sick about it.  Just when I was about to come clean to my husband,  Emily suggested that I call all the places that I went to the past couple of days.  I started with the TCU bookstore and as luck would have it...THEY HAD MY RING!!..  Some nice young man had found it in the parking lot and turned it in to the store manager.  I can only thank the man upstairs for that one.  I am so grateful that he placed that man there on that day.  I am one lucky chica.

Emily's visit

    Thursday night we stayed up late chatting it up.  I love catching up with Emily.  We always tend to get in so many deep conversations.  Our talks are so therapeutic. Friday she helped me run errands that I have been putting off for the last couple of weeks and Friday night we caught up with some old friends.  Saturday we watched the TCU boys pummel Wyoming and then went on a dinner date with the babies at BJ's.  Sunday she helped me clean house, do some grocery shopping, and change the closet light so that I could see my clothes again.  Sunday night we stayed in and had spaghetti, wine, and movie night.
     I enjoyed every second of her stay here.  However, I am pretty sure I enjoyed it more than she did.  Emily is used to getting a lot of sleep and that just doesn't happen over here.  Sooooo...she left here over worked and exhausted.  SORRY EM!!  She served to be a much needed mental pick me up and was amazing company.  What company do you know comes to visit on vacation and ends up being your nanny/ housekeeper as well?  I am very blessed to have her as a friend.
